History of the Carrier Pigeons

Jenny was in Girl Scouts, and one of the badges was to help put out a group newspaper. She decided to have a family one. She had to do three issues, so she was the editor for the first three issues.

Name: When Grandpa and I met we worked at a store together for the summer. When I went back to school, it was in Provo, and he stayed in SLC. He wrote me a letter which said, "Write back, or send a carrier pigeon or something."

So I made up a huge letter with a carrier pigeon on the front and mailed it to him.

So that's why we gave the Carrier Pigeon that name--because it was there in the beginning of our "courtship" and the whole family came out of that.
